| The Science Center of Guimarães has opened its doors to the public on 17th of December and STOL was present. The Science Center of Guimarães - Curtir Ciência is the result of a partnership between the City Council of Guimarães, University of Minho and the National Agency for Scientific and Technological Culture - Ciência Viva. It opens from Tuesday to Sunday.

| The 32nd Symposium of the European Society of Nematologists will take place in Gualtar Campus of UMinho, Braga, from August 28th to September 1st, 2016. This symposium is an international forum to gather researchers from around the world, to share and discuss their findings regarding the broad and interdisciplinary field of Nematology.

| The III Symposium of PDBMA, organized by the PhD students from the 3rd and 4th edition (2011-2012, 2012-2013), took place on the 26th November 2015 at the School of Sciences Amphitheatre. This meeting intended to show the PDBMA in a scientific perspective, as well as to give the opportunity to the students to present their personal experiences throughout the development of their PhD thesis. The program included invited lectures, student presentations, and poster sessions. A prize for the best poster was attributed to Cátia Pereira.

| This session took place on the 25th November 2015 in amphitheatre B2 at University of Minho, and was dedicated to the importance of green spaces aiming at the implementation of a botanic garden in University of Minho. The event was promoted by Núcleo de Estudantes de Biologia Aplicada (NEBAUM) and by the CBMA members Fernanda Cássio and Cláudia Pascoal, with support from the school of sciences.

- iLUX 2015 – Escola Secundária Carlos Amarante, October 13th, 2015.
- "Let there be light…" is a project from STOL, coordinated by Alexandra Nobre, with the collaboration of colleagues from the School of Sciences (University of Minho) and integrated in the International Year of Light. It is designed for children from first school grade and will be organized once-a-month, between February and December 2015, in the Library Lúcio Craveiro da Silva.

- International Conference on Communication and Light, November 2-4, 2015. The International Conference on Communication and Light (http://www.comlight2015.org) took place in Braga from 2 to 4 of November and was organized by the Communication and Society Research Centre /Uminho). STOL presented two projects: "Let there be light" and "iLUX 2015 - Shine like a cartoon". STOL was represented in the event, by Alexandra Nobre, STOL coordinator and Daniel Martins, STOL colaborator.
- Escola Secundária Santa Maria Maior´s Experimental Sciences Department in collaboration with STOL commemorated the Science and Technology week by exhibiting “Homo numericus” and "Stitch by Stitch the Science Fills the Space", November 16-20, 2015.
- Escola Secundária de Barcelos in collaboration with STOL commemorated the Science and Technology week by exhibiting "Homo numericus" and "iLUX 2015", November 23-30, 2015.
- Round table "Science, education and school" - Champalimaud Foundation. Alexandra Nobre was present in the round-table of this event that brought together researchers, science communicators, teachers, students and parents in an open and informal discussion on "Science, education and school" topics.
