CBMA is part of the Genome PT Consortium, a distributed genome sequencing and analysis infrastructure integrated in the Portuguese Roadmap of Research Infrastructures that are funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) and the European Structural Funds provided at the national level by the Regional Government Authorities (CCDRs). GenomePT provides sequencing and bioinformatics services for genome projects coordinated by national and international partners, including the national health service, food, pharma, biotech, paper, wine and fishing industries.
