Another edition of UMinho's "Open Weekend" was held in April. Over two days the Biology Department provided visits to the High School students (Friday) and to the general public (Saturday). One hundred and fifty High School students had the opportunity to contact with researchers from eight different laboratories and learn about the research developed in those labs. On Saturday, visitors, including families, were able to meet the IB-S- Institute of Science and Innovation for
Biodiversity and Bio-sustainability, and its current and future potential.
