Entrada livre. Inauguração aquando do 180º aniversário da ESSM.
The Nobel Prize of Medicine was attributed to the Japanese Yoshinori Ohsumi. The scientist was distinguished for his research in the field of autophagy, mainly developed in yeast. Maria João Sousa and Ana Preto together with other members of their CBMA team have been using yeast and colorectal cancer cells, to study the role of autophagy in colorectal cancer.

On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the International Conference on Oceans: Future sustainability challenges it is a great pleasure to invite you to this important event, which will take place on the 17th and 18th of November 2016, in Vila Real.
This event, which is organized by the Campus do Mar initiative, provides a forum for presenting and discussing new research developments in marine science, technology and management. The theme of the conference reflects the growing understanding of the importance of ocean sustainability in crucial areas for human wellbeing, namely in the environmental, economic and social dimensions imperative for a better tomorrow.
The conference will be hosted by the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD), Portugal. Further details on the programme, plenary speakers, registration and abstract submission can be found in http://domar.utad.pt.
